Mini 1.3 MPI Convertible by MMR #129

Here is the Mini 1.3 MPI Convertible by MMR #129, designed from the first to the last bolt according to the wishes of its owner.

It all started with a Mini MPI base, chosen as the starting point for a convertible project with automatic transmission, developed in a Sportspack spirit.
Nothing was left as is: the case was stripped bare, each element inspected, repaired or replaced, before being reassembled by hand in our workshops, through meticulous work that leaves nothing to chance.

The bodywork today sports a Hot Chocolate shade, directly taken from the palette of recent Minis: a deep and changing dress, which takes on different reflections depending on the daylight.
It features lines enhanced by chrome Sportspack wings, a chrome Cooper grille and an aluminum fuel cap that completes the look.

Even the seatbelt was matched to the color of the carpet: the consistency extends to the smallest details of this car.
The passenger compartment received the same meticulous treatment.
The upholstery, entirely redone in Dark Brown leather, extends to the gear knob. The interior and exterior door handles are machined from solid aluminum. The Moto-Lita steering wheel has also been hand-wrapped in this brown leather. Facing the driver, a wooden instrument panel houses the three distinctive gauges, while the switch panel, also machined from a single piece of aluminum, completes the aesthetic.
Every last bit of original plastic has disappeared, replaced by leather or Alcantara.

The custom carpeting perfectly matches the soft top's color and is accented with brown leather piping that runs along every line of the interior. The soft top and tonneau cover, in a matching beige, complete this meticulously designed color harmony. Even the trunk features the same carpeting with a specially designed tab for the battery cover. A Bluetooth car radio adds a touch of modern comfort without ever compromising the overall character.

On the mechanical side, the same requirement prevailed: a central dual Maniflow exhaust, suspensions tuned for comfort, a chromed interior rearview mirror.
The body, running gear, engine and gearbox have all been reworked with meticulous care bordering on obsession, to recreate the driving sensations of a new car.

The MMR #129 is not simply a restoration: it's a meticulously conceived piece, where every choice was discussed, designed, and then executed by hand. This is precisely what we at My Mini Revolution have been doing since 2010: breathing new life into an icon by tailoring it to our specifications, without ever sacrificing the time or expertise that such a project deserves.
